These are the already well-known traditional portraits of Bach, painted in the past by renowned artists who had no idea what Bach really looked like. But perhaps one or the other was inspired by Elias Gottlob Haußmann, whose 1746 work is considered the only authentic portrait of Bach. There are two copies of this by Haußmann's students.
